IT Security

We protect your business with well-designed security concepts, audits and GDPR-compliant solutions that we explain clearly and implement in practice.

Who is this for?

Customer data, employee data or internal business documents: anyone who works digitally is responsible for protecting this data, legally and practically. Many small and mid-sized businesses underestimate how many points of attack arise in everyday work, for example through outdated software, untrained staff, missing backups or access accounts that nobody keeps track of anymore. A single successful phishing attempt or ransomware incident can paralyze operations for days and lastingly damage customer trust. IT security is not a one-off project you tick off, but an ongoing process of analysis, protection and regular review. We help you assess risks realistically, without scaremongering and without blind spots, and reduce them effectively with reasonable effort.

Services at a glance

  • It starts with an honest look at existing risks in your network, systems and processes, including concrete, prioritized recommendations.
  • We set up GDPR-compliant processes and documentation so that data protection stays practical and is actually lived in everyday work.
  • We secure devices, access and data traffic so that a single compromised device does not immediately put the entire network at risk.
  • Because people are often the most important factor in phishing and similar attacks, we train your staff in a clear and practical way.
  • Emergency and recovery plans ensure that everyone knows what to do when it matters.

How we work together

Security analysis

We check systems, processes and data flows for existing vulnerabilities without disrupting ongoing operations.

2

Action plan

Clearly prioritized recommendations, from quick wins to structural measures, each with a clear explanation.

3

Implementation

Joint or supported implementation of the agreed security measures, in the order that has the greatest effect.

4

Regular review

Regular checks keep your IT security up to date, because new risks emerge all the time.

This consulting does not replace individual legal advice on GDPR obligations. For legally binding answers, we recommend consulting a lawyer specializing in data protection law.
FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Answers to the most important questions about IT security.

What exactly does a security audit include?

A security audit checks your network, systems and processes for existing vulnerabilities and gives you an honest overview of the actual risks. The result is a clearly prioritized list of measures.

Does the consulting replace legal advice on the GDPR?

No. The consulting helps you establish practical, GDPR-compliant processes in everyday work, but it does not replace individual legal advice. For legally binding answers, we recommend consulting a lawyer specializing in data protection law.

How often should a security check be repeated?

IT security is not a one-off project but an ongoing process. We recommend regular reviews so that your protection stays up to date.

What should you do in the event of an IT security incident?

As part of the consulting, emergency and recovery plans are created so that a clear procedure is in place in an emergency and nobody has to improvise.

Does IT security consulting make sense for small businesses too?

Yes. Anyone who works digitally is responsible for protecting customer, employee and business data, regardless of company size. The scope of the consulting is adapted to your size and budget.

Does NIS2 affect my business?

NIS2 applies mainly to companies in certain sectors, such as energy, transport, healthcare, digital services, waste management or manufacturing, that have at least 50 employees or more than 10 million euros in annual turnover and balance sheet total. Many small businesses are not directly covered but, as suppliers to affected companies, often have to meet similar requirements. The NIS-2 impact assessment from the German Federal Office for Information Security (BSI) provides a first indication. We support you with implementing the technical measures; this does not replace legal advice.

How should a small business back up its data?

The 3-2-1 rule has proven itself: three copies of your data on two different storage media, one of them off site or offline. That way, at least one backup stays intact after ransomware, a hardware failure or a break-in. Just as important is regularly testing the restore, because a backup only helps if it can actually be restored in an emergency.
